what starter motors fit it? any cvh? any fiesta or escort?

i got (i think) a mk5 diesel 1... its alot shorter than an RST 1 so suffers less with gettin hot and sticking!

Sounds bit different but it works!

Get a spanking new Ford starter for about £80. They need your old one in return.

Its new technology and not the old heavy cast starters that were origionally fitted to the RST. It's more compact and doesn't suffer as much with heat soak from the exhaust.

I have a gear-reduction starter which is smaller in size. It is a Bosch unit and cost me around £85 as far as I remember (exchange).
