Barrier damage and recovery was €2000+ and that don't include any repairs to car.

Some crazy ones there! I remember seeing the Porsche come off on the trailer.

And poor little Japs Eye.... I formed a bit of a bond with the car, even forgiving it for having no 2nd gear

Well got back from holiday to the ring yesterday.

weather wasnt great all weekend but it was still busy.
Done my first and only lap on the Friday just before bend 112 i lost the back end of the car but caught it back but then it just 360'd the otherway and then the rear quater (drivers side) when into the barrier and the front hit in too. then landed in the middle on the track. My g/f had to go to the hospital as she was in the back of the car and took the brunt of the impact but she is ok just a bump to the head and whiplash and i had the same and the person in the passenger seat was ok. Cars not to bad but we had to do alot of last minute repairs to get it home and was a very hard drive as we didnt notice the rear hub was bent so i was dragging one back wheel all the way. All the shops were shut till the tuesday and we left on the tuesday so u can imagine to rush to get it sorted!

Now before everyone thinks i got there and went to fast that wasnt the case! when i had my accident there was 6 others cars off at the same time in diff places lol.

The case of mine was a broken hub assembally, because after the crash i couldnt drive as there was no steering on one side. So we got the car back to the hotel and stripped the wheel off ect to find that where the track control arm goes into the hub had snapped i.e the acctuall hub had snapped at that point. and looking at the old hub were it had snapped the metal isnt clean all the way thru so it was already fractured proior to this happening so i think it broke after i caght the back end the first time maybee

But we got back safely us and the car will do some pics soon

damage to the car is front wing, rear quater, rear quater window, door, mirror, 2 wheels, front hub assembaly and rear axel or rear hub

Majority off off's are driver error, some are mechanical failure, l
ike Stu's Hub, that broke and threw him into the barriers.
Some people get a little over enthusiastic, or forget the correct line to take,
or take the corner too fast.
Lots of people try to follow a faster car through a bend. This is not recommended.
Some people just drive like twats.

"I demand a replacement car NOW!!!!!! - deliver it to me without delay - as I have'nt completed a full lap yet and I've purchased pre-paid tickets for another 18 laps this weekend"

Oh dear

Just shows up who CAN and CAN'T drive like they think they can, regardless of what machinery they own doesn't it

I know I for one would more than likely have an off over there... Either that or I would just hoon it round slowly

Nothing serious Azrael - just a cam shaft snapped and the buggered morrette, smashed indicator and broken front bumper mounts - plus of course the dented wing, split boost hose, melted alternator wiring, melted speedo drive cable, tyre blow out and brake dust eaten wheels to deal with.

Quite uneventful really

Can't believe how many under skilled, over enthusiastic drivers, with under prepared cars turn up at the Ring during the Easter weekend.

Why don't people learn the track before they get there, get there motor checked over for reliability, and take there time learning the track properly.
