Default Finland 1.3litre Turbo Sierras? "Stockmann Turbos"

Anyone know much about them etc?

When Sierras first came out over there a LOT of the base models were turbod by dealerships to get around the 1.3litre tax bracket.

Love to see an enginebay pic, esp the standard 1.3s, seen a 1.6 pinto one, but modded.

There is an english option near top of page. It's an advert for a sierra that is for sale.

Extras include: Tow bar, Two sets of tyres, Service manual, Turbo

Good find mate

He's talking about Finland.

I have seen a brochure pic of the bits from this kit somewhere.

Allright,I tell you something about them. There was 1.3,1.6 and 2.0 stockmann turbos.
The turbo was an IHI RHB5 (1.3 and 1.6 litre models) and RHB6 for the 2.0 litre models. The carburettor was a Weber 32/32 DAT Turbo,I think that the 1.3 litre had a Solex carburettor but I'm not sure about that. The compression was lowered by mounting a thicker headgasket. The "modifications" Ford wanted to these stockmann turbos was done by a company named GT motor oy.

There was also a couple of 2.8 litre V6 stockmann twinturbo scorpios done.

But in every case the stockmann turbos are very rare nowadays.

I've tought that the 1.3l had only ~80bhp. 1.6l had ~100bhp and 2.0l had ~150bhp. The guy who actually did the conversions @ GT motor told me that.

Ahh, the good old Stockmann turbo, the ultimate sport saloon and cossie slayer - or not quite. How on earth did you become interested in these in the first place? By the way, that RHB5 is one small charger. It makes the FRST turbo look huge in comparison.
