Default Help Meltdown

I was on my way back from ford fair and the car started pinking and then it started firing on three and then it stopped, anyway to cut a long story short i pulled the head off today and number 2 piston is rather melted!!!! I live in plymouth, who can i get to re build it and what sort of cost should i be looking at, i will remove and re fit the engine i just want bottom and top re built????

cost of rebuilts range from Ł2000 - ŁŁŁŁŁ all depends on WHAT u want standard or L/comp etc and who's doing it!if that makes any sense! hope you get it sorted soon

I ending up buying an engine that I knew had been freshly built for far less than it would of cost me to re build my one

hi m8.

ure not the only one, i done the same going to the fordfair was going 140ish and the fuc er let go, just got in now after taking the head apart and there a 1 inch hole in no.2 piston and heads going need cleaing up..

price to fix...

got full headset off pj at the show for $200 with bolts/belt and all cometic

heads going to be $100 ish that be skim/stem seals/valves recut/clean up.

shouid be ok to replace 1 piston so be about $130 fitted

so i will be happy as long as under $250 and they will fit head and belts......

not bad...

I recon im gunna go for a full re build so my next question is low coompression or standard??? and what pistons? Oh escortmad79 thanks ill go for allan jeffries hes just down the road and I know andy there that builds the engines, its just i feel he may be pricy for bits not being a specialist?
