plug on crossover pipe on erst ?
Hi,
Just a quick question, what is the 'plug' thing for on the crossover pipe on the escort rs turbos, its on the right hand side near the throttle body, it screws into the crossover pipe and there seems to be some kind of sensor on the end ?
I only want to know because I managed to cover the sensor inside the crossover pipe with spray paint today , will this affect anything ?
cheers, Duncan

Yes it's to monitor your charge air temp. When the RST gets to (IIRC) 62deg, the ECU cuts the boost to avoid damage....
So would I be right in thinking that if you unplugged that, you could jsut keep boosting to the limit guverend by your wastegate or amal valve? (But in the prcess probably cook your engine )
