Default 3/4 Spoke RS Steering Wheel centre boss (with horn)

Hi,

My girlfriend brought me a brand new 3 spoke RS steering wheel yesterday but it has the solid boss.

Does anyone have a horn boss for this steering wheel so i can fit it to my MK4 escort??

Thanks.

Matt.

Try looking on ebay mate, I saw atleast one good one yesterday on one of the auto jumble stands at ford fair, think the price was 70 quid just for the horn push, a LOT OF MONEY!

Dave, I am assuming by what he is saying by "solid boss" and "horn boss" he means the actuall horn push, the boss is the part in the s.wheel that goes onto the steering colum.

I have the solid centre.

I think you have to buy the boss and horn push part togeather as it has the brass rings on the back for the horn etc.

I've looked on ebay and there aint any there at the moment.

Dave, When i get the horn one i need i will pm you about the solid one i have.

Matt.

I had a feeling i would be able to unbolt the brass ring bit from the old steering wheel.

So its just the front push i need?

Thanks Adam.

P.S. did you get your steel wheels sorted out?

Yup - picking them up @ s/e meet

Hi mate, yes that is right. You just need the horn push. I wouldn't bother going down fords and just asking, well dunno wot the ford ppl are like round your way but they never know what you are on about in my local parts place, ask someone off here if it is stil lavailable, DOO?

TBH, my local dealer are not worth a w4nk either, i go about 12 mile to the next who are totally superb.

They always get me what i need ~ vertually a whole new car so far.

I will try fords first and if not then it will be up early for National Day.

Was this hanging up by a cable tie at the back of one of the trade stands on the left? Think i had a look at it and was put off as it had the wrong boss for a cossie which also has the horn push in the centre! I sold a mint one a couple of weeks ago on Ebay for 30 quid not thinking i would need it too

Yeah it was hanging up at the back of the tent, with 2 second hand 4 spokes.

I knocked the bloke down £15.

Been after a really nive 3 spoke for ages and i couldn't let the centre horn push put me off having it.

I'm sure 1 will turn up soon.

Matt.
