i followed those drifters around for a lap last year - was the most awesome thing i have ever seen

there are speed limits at more than one point.

there is that 50 by the entrance / exit approximately halfway at the adenau bridge, and there is a succesively lower limit as you come down the final straight to the exit.

no - but at the 50 limit above you should be really careful as you can come across vehicles (bikes especially, but also emergency vehilces) travelling really slowly as they exit or enter the track. it would be terrible to have an accident there, just for the sake of a few meaningless seconds of driving slower.

and at the limit at the end of the lap, you want to be slowing down to cool the engine, brakes etc before coming off the track anyway

Mental. On my first trip my highest priority was keeping it pointing in a straight line

Do they have much experience of the ring?

If they drifted the ring "properly" in the dry they would probably need a tyre change halfway
