Help! CVH Fanbelt(alternator) Tension
Hi all
Just changing my fanbelt(alternator) on my car as the old one had perished slightly, how tight should it be
i understand you have to use a bar or something to lever it , just wondering how tight

it should be tight so that there is minimal play in the belt. But not so tight that there is no play at all. Sometimes its a bit of a game of getting it tight enough so its not slipping but not so tight its gonna snap!
