Hello again Na dont have the steering lock on. The wheel sits in properly (i think) but the center bolt doesnt seem long enough? wasnt sure wether you just change the bolt or the exsisting bolt should do the job but its just a case that the wheel isnt sitting properly

This happened to me too. As I remember, the colum has an inner and outer, and the outer moves.
I think you just push the wheel on the colum, and it goes back into place.
I know I did it, even if i dont remember how!

when uyou fitted it you didnt move the coloum did you

as this sometimes happens when you fit the steering wheel to a sierra

was the adjuster undone?

worth a try pull the adjuster down and see if you can pull the coloum towards you lock it then try fitting the sterring wheel

Yep, I did that too!

I think i had to take all the cowling off, may even have been a bolt to undo...

Oh - and the haynes joke book is no help whatsoever!

Sounds like the coloum droped down just screw the bolt back in a bit and then you should be able to pull it back up(holding the bolt).thats why the bolts not long enough because it drop down

i had the same happen to me
