St George's Day
There is a chance the public can make St George's Day a Public Holiday after this year.
That means a day off with pay.
Click on the link below to vote, the site needs at least 1,000,000 votes for the government to take it seriously and give us another holiday and I know you are up for that!
Can you distribute this through your friends or post on other forums- as of 13th Feb 2006 there were over 600,000 votes and it needs that big push to get over the million. click on the link and vote.. it takes no more than 5 seconds.

I'm all for it becoming a public holiday - BUT
I can't see how this online petition thing will work though, after all, the internet is open to abuse so even though they have anti-spam stuff in place, people could still submit more than one vote if they wanted, not to mention that people outside of England can vote on it. There should be some way of registering a name and address against your vote to remove the chance of spamming.
Just my thoughts - I've voted anyway.
Cheers,
Andy
