Default What are Toyo R888's like compared to....

...yokohama a048r's and Dunlop DZ02G tyres?

After some track day tyres and camskill have got a good offer on the toyo's at moment.
Or am i best going for one of the other brands?

Im after ones that perform on track though.

If the other brands are better then i dont mind paying the extra.

I use R888 on my 3dr cossie on track & can't fault them, would not hesitate to buy them again, not used the others so can't comment on them.

I thought camskill were the cheapest but their not, i bought mine from www.tyretraders.com really quick delivery aswell.

No, in comp. to the toyo t1s(very good tyre) 30% more grip in the dry and 10% more in the wet. Thats what the toyo rep said, and feels about right, I love em. Yes in the sexual way.

Think you'll have to prove how good they are, and not in the sexual way young man!

I use R888s on track, have just bought my second set for the Cossie, and first set for my Mi16 Pug 205.

They are amazing, and on track are just leagues ahead of normal good road tyres.

I also know a man who does very good prices on R888s (or any Toyos for that matter) - PM the size you're after and I'll find out and let you know how much!

cheers for the help peeps.

Think i'll be going for some dunlops as it seems a lot of people say the toyo's go off a lot quicket than dunlop's and yoko's!

Ask Tony/Nuts about tyres - think he recommends the dunlops.

Oranoco, i use Parada 2's on my road wheels & have used them on track before aswell, very good road tyres & better than most other road tyres on track but if you invest in another set of wheels for trackdays with R888's you will not believe the difference

Dave 5mm from new, i don't bother using them on the road. Should last about 4 - 6 trackdays depending on how you drive.

A freind of mine was in a 4x4 saph stage 1 with R888 & he was quicker than his mate in a evo 6 tommy makinen with road tyres, the evo was holding him up once the road tyres started to overheat he was sliding on every corner, that was at Lydden.
