what intercooler for a stage 1 cossie with the possibility for stage 3 in the near future. I know a 500 cooler is probably the best option but which 1. Also does anything need modifying to make it fit cause when i come to sell the car it will probably get put back to stage 1 with standard cooler cheers

I fitted a genuine rs500 cooler as I bought it off a mate for the same price as a new alloy 500 style 1 would have cost, from what I have heard the Radtec ones are the next best and closely followed by the forge ones.
eceryone I know seems to stay clear of the pace coolers.
on and the only mod I had to make to fit mine was making the pipes fit, as the 500 has larger hoses than std, but all the alloy ones have std size hoses, so no mods needed afaik

Ive got a Pace 500 intercooler/rad on mine and have have never had any problems with either. Made a good difference when fitted.
Have ran these for over a year at stage 1 & 3
As far as mods go as long as you dont have air con it'll fit straight in.

the pace is fine on anything up to about 24psi on a stage 3 set up anything over this and it really starts to struggle.
agree with forge/radtec are the aftermarket to go for
