Tyson's washed up he's broke, convict, not the same old Iron Mike, or Danny would of been knocked out in the first 20sec...
it's obvious he doesn't have it anymore...Williams won.

it wasnt, but the US boers have dominated the sport for so many years its good to see some brit contenders. although danny williams IMO has a long way to go before hes "world class" standard he proved that he can mix it up with fighters of a high grade. altho Tyson is no where near the fighter he was, hes still better then alot of the fighters in the world ranks. and i do agree that Tyson in hes day would of destroyed williams. as he would of lewis and holyfield IMO but such is life we'll neva know for sure.

In the first round TYson looked excellent his jab and movement and accuracy was spot on,but as usual he cuts corners in training and was out on his feet by the 3rd round. He actually quit in the ring,he didn't take big shots when he went down, but you could see it in his eyes...he had no more desire for the game. The warning signs for me where in the 3 rounds of sparring he did in public, the first round was 3mins,the second was about 2.40 and the third was 2 mins and he looked fooked.....so if the fight did go more than 3 rounds Tyson did look to be in trouble. Its a shame Tyson only teamed up with Fredie Roach when he was physically shot,he seams to have done somegood work with Tyson on the technical front, its just a shame he didn't make the lazy git do some more miles on the road work and some decent spaaring.Thats what happens when you put all your eggs in one basket and presume you will win inside 3 rounds, you always need a plan B and being fit to last more than 3 rounds would have been a good plan B for me.I think he will have a rematch with Williams(im sure it was in the contract) but if he skimps on training he will go the same way,its a young mans game...that why Lewis bailed out when he nearly got caught out himself in his last fight.I agree with the others, in his prime(88-89) he would have wasted the people who have defeated him.But it doesn'r matter how good you are,in boxing if you cut corners your 9 times out of 10 likely to be caught out.well done to Williams though,i hope he makes some good money in his brief spell in the big league, ibut i don't see him beating the top 3...after all this is the guy who lost to sprott only a short time ago...maybe that tells you how far Tyson has digressed now.

danny williams is absolute crap! put him in a ring with audley who the press think is also crap & see the results for yourself!

also - i don't think tyson has won more than 1 fight after the sixth round. he relies purely to knock them out & he looked a long way from his best! but maybe thats why he didn't train so hard, he's done it throughout his career!

the sad thing is is you know Tyson will keep on fighting cos of hes money situation. TBH i tink if tyson got with the program and worked his ass off he could get back on top, cos as it is there isnt any real major players at the top anymore. but outside the ring Tyson is so unstable and i doubt very much he as the discipline to stay with it. agreed it is a young mans sport but Holyfield proved that at the right time you can always make a come back.

Williams for me has always been a national fighter and neva looked good enuff to take the world stage. u only have 2 look at his conditioning and compare it to some of the greats to see that he does like the odd pie.....lol i just hope we see some quility fighters comming thru in the furture to livin things up again

Danny had one chance to fire himself up into a few BIG paydays, and he took it. I didnt think for one minute danny would pose a threat even to a shonky Tyson, but fairplay, Tyson was in good shape and there was a flicker of his former self for the first round and he hit danny with some massive punches that would have took out virtually anyone. Danny for once was in the right frame of mind and weathered the storm, (most would have folded) and came back fightin.

Tyson did twist his leg but that cant be used as an excuse, cus plain and simple he just aint got it no more and should retire before he gets seriously hurt. He went for it in the first and expected to blow danny away and punched himself out, legs knackered and the rest is history.

Tyson IMO in his twenties would have destroyed virtually every other great but its sad to see him losing to a dometic level fighter like this. But take nothin away from danny he trained hard took his chance and it payed off big time! Imagine the sort of mental stress he overcome! At least he's under no dillusion that he knocked out the real Mike Tyson , who for me was in his day the BEST.

And as for that ref. he shouldnt be allowed in a ring again. Tosser.

I wouldnt call the Lewis knockout a lucky punch, it was down to Lewis being overconfident and not taking the fight seriously. It was an embaresment that he was knocked out by another half decent fighter, Lewis should never have got that complacent. When he took the fight seriously he hammered Rachman.

Rachman lost to lewis then Holyfield then lost and drew with Tua IIRC.

agreed, i only wish i had put money on the fight when i saw lewis' interview cos u could tell he was takin it 2 easy but i'm sure Rachman fought recently.......and lost....lol cos it was in the build up to the Tyson and Williams fight just cant remember who he fought

Was reasing the sport section earlier today and they were saying that Tyson is only fighting cause he is in such debt!! He better get his head outta his ass then!!! I think with the right training and frame of mind he can be great again, not until then!
It's sad huh..he used to have so much money!!! he even gave away his rolls right on the spot cause he got into a very small accident

Shouldnt feel sorry for him but I do! He's had everythin and now got nothin.

He's had the wrong people around him for years, all takin there slice of the cake, and now HAS to fight, but he's deffo not box office now so cant really see a way forward for him. There will probally be a rematch with Danny but maybe he should try gettin into a few film roles or become a trainer or sommat.

There was loads of talk about K1 but he doesnt really want to go and get smashed up, tho he would KO Bob sapp and that maybe an option for him, but he wouldnt stand a chance against the best in that sport either.

Its sad to see a great who should be financially secure have to keep takin punishment, but he's been stupid and evil in his time so you cant feel too much for him.

he was sayin in the interviews before the fight he was livin in a 2 bedroom apartment etc also he owes like millions in tax's etcbut at the end of the day Tyson the brand name ppl will buy into, so all he has 2 do is do a few sponsorship deals and he should make enuff to last him but then with hes personality it wont b long before he goes off the rails.

just hope you dont see him workin as a sercurity guard in a shoppin mall like that little guy who had that condition which made him look like a 12 yr old kid, cant remmeber hes name was really famous in the 80's

Gary Coleman!!! What you talking about willis....
Or was is Webster?? lol!!
either way, Tyson came from nothing, and like most Rap stars spend their money on bullshit, and then have nothing...it's a circle if not carefull!
Tyson's name is fading quickly, it's hard to get sponsorship with a his reputation.

@ like most Rap stars

I felt for Tyson...although a nasty piece of work....he came back to fight to get cash...but he a has been..imo never a great boxer his reputation just shit opponants up....until he came across people who wernt intimidated.

To get beaten by Williams must have been humiliating for him....as Williams aint a great fighter...TBH its fucked the whole Heavyweight scene..as Tyson is the only marketable fighter out there..the ref tried to give him longer than the 10 count but he was fucked.

Bad news for boxing imo.
