Default Engine build question - now sorted!

Asking on behalf SiB who just phoned me - his computer is playing up, this is quite URGENT:

When building up a YB bottom end, which way should the con rods face:

A. The side with the raised writing on faces the FRONT of the engine.

B. The side with the raised writing on faces the BACK of the engine.

When they come out of the block they would have been A writing facing the front, however I doubt it makes much difference which way around they go.

why do they have to go a certain way? is it to do with thrust angles or something?

iirc, the manual doesn't mention it?
