Default 17s on a 3 door?

Will 8x17" alloys fit on my 3 door without messing with my arches or suspension?

The majority of Hock R's of that size with pcd 108 are et 40 mate!
If thats the case then the rears will be fine but the fronts with your standard suspension may rub but not by much dependant of course on tyre size

Hi Jon, didnt know you had a 3dr

I had Hocks on mine, 8x17, ET35, 215/40 tyres all round on Konis, and the fronts rubbed the top of the arches on bumps and heavy braking.

Personal opinion here, but I think 3drs dont like 8j on the front. On the rears its fine, but on the front it seems to make it tram a bit at speed.

I changed my Hocks to the current Mo's, 7.5j front ET37, 8j rear ET35, and it rides as nice as a 3dr on 15's, ie, straight! and they dont rub!

Been in a few Saphs and 3drs with 8's on the front and thay all seem to be the same.

Lets see some pics then!

Ian.

got 17 inch 8j on mine et35. i have konis and 30% uprated standard hieght springs on and they dont rub although my arches are rolled. before they where rolled they did rub. ian is right they do tend to track about on these wheels at 8j.

I have 8 x17" on the front with a 215/40 -17 and the tyres look a bit streched

My front suspension doesn't move even under heavy brakeing

I have trimmed the kit a little to get clearance for the 235 dunlop slicks

my fronts work out to e.t 32 8 x 17

I am also going to fit a 235-40-17 on the front to see if it catches or not

if it doesn't catch... i'm going to fit them

Marco
