i think your reactions there were like mine when they were sorting stuff out in the back of that car, think the scooby driver was wondering if he'd make out of it all untouched.

There was a program back in about 1997 called 'X Cars' which followed this same unit. Back in 1997 they had a Silver J reg 4x4 Cossie, an RS 2000 and some Vauxhall shite on their fleet. The Cossie was nice though. It was a series of about 6 episodes and they had some great chases.
Keep waiting for it to be repeated but never has been
The cossie looked superb. It hadn't been washed for months and didn't look like old bill until the blue lights came on, then it was game on.

GM POLICE FAIL TO RULE OUT POSSIBLE AXING OF X-CARS
THEY WERE A MEDIA SENSATION, when shown on BBC TV - the fly-on-the-wall documentary about Manchester's X-Cars attracted record numbers of viewers, including myself. Bobbies that talked and dressed like guys you'd meet down the snooker club drove high powered cars kitted out with video cameras, and targeted so-called "joy riders" - youths who steal cars, drive them at dangerous speeds and frequently crash them, causing injury or death to themselves or others.
Spokesmen for the X-Cars say they have a good record in catching offenders and in preventing crime, but now, Greater Manchester Police say the X-Cars may have to go under cost-cutting plans. I think it would send out the wrong message to car thieves city-wide if the X-Cars were disbanded, and I don't think they will be.

Theres a Police Camera Action of sort variant where the stinger was 1st used in Britain, deffo manchester anyway with me on it getting arrested.
Suzuki Jeep on the run around Oldham, 6 or 7 Police cars in Pursuit, another 5 or 6 of us young whippersnappers following them, The guy gets stung on king st near Halfrauds, comes to a stop at the lights, i go past and pull over in my 'rung to fuck' XR2, gets dragged out and 1st in the van
Never did get a charge for that
