Good news and bad news
The good news is I had my final checkup today. 8 years ago I was diagnosed with cancer and although I was given the all clear 7 years ago I still have had regular checkups. Today I was told they don't want to see me again
Bad news is I've stripped the teeth off 3rd gear on the way home It isn't haf noisy with a box full of broken metal. It made it sound like it was straight cut at certain revs
Anyone got a good 4x4 box?

Great news on both parts IMO.
No need to go back to the docs, AND you've got the perfect excuse to buy a Fixit kit to celebrate

hhmmmnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
Cheers for the comments chaps. I was young when I had it and when I look back I was pretty blase about it, despite 4 months of chemo and a massive op. If I got it now, now that I have a wife and daughter, it would be devastating.

I can still remember you posting about your cancer back on the RSBB board in the days before it went down the pan!
Christ, memories of the old days... You were BigP, DamoV was corsaking or similar, Ima was a bad dream () and rainbird was forever arguing with Stef the CollieKisser
Absolutely great news on the cancer front dude!
Must be a brilliant feeling
Neil.

Cheers chaps
Still thinking how I can explain to the wife that a dead gearbox which should not cost more than £600-£700 to put right can justify me ripping out engine, box and diffs and spending £15K

Great news! Had a lot of my family taken by that bastard desease
No one deserves it, and the sooner they find a cure that will kill it off 100% the better
Least now you can get on with your life without worrying if it will come back or not
