i guess from a few post that the N series is to be avoided.

i dont really care to much for "geeky features", ironic i know, as i work in I.T.

just needs bluetooth really and maybe a camera

i currently got a 6230, and was thinking 6230I,

but just wondered what other "easy" phones are out there????

the 6230i is a good enuf phone and good upgrade on the 6230

otherwise the 6280 is nice

 

Ive got an 8800 basically the same features as the 6320i without a memory card slot and looks a bit better.

I cant be arsed with the geeky features either still has bluetooth, camera etc etc.

 

i like that 6280,

not sure on 8800

 

the n80 is out very soon

dont know if its an improvement on previous n series phones but its the one im gonna be getting

you ever had any probs with them...eg battery life?

imo all nokia's are easy to use once u have a play about, they are all very similar format and user friendly

 

Batterys arent AS good as other phones, they needed to minimise battery weight with the phone being made of titanium, but its ok, especially when u see the 8800

 

its not titanium its stainless the 8910/10i's were titanium

not a patch on an n70 imo

once youve had a phone with a large screen, going back to small is a no no, trust me

 

Keep away from the 3230 its the worst phone Nokia have ever made, hard on battery, keeps rebooting, menu hard to navigate, too slow when selecting on menu, plus more..

I have a 6230i and it's absolutely pukka. Best phone i've owned and it's not mega expensive either

 

My bro's fiancee has the 6280, and I am seriously considering changing my N70 for it, as it seems to do most of the same stuff, but is a fair bit faster with apps and menu's;



The 6060 also looks quite nice, but I'm not too sure as it is a flip phone, which I am not a huge fan of...

Just been on the phone to Orange regarding an upgrade about an hour ago,i was wanting one of the new N series and was told the N70 was out just now but not to go near it!The N80,N90 and N91 are out ant the end of April seemingly and the boy i was talking to said the N90 was the one to wait for.

Most memory ever in a handset,serious features etc etc fucking awesome!
Fuck it only a month to wait!

 

ive got a 6230i its a lil bit slower going through the motions but you get used to it! i like the 6280 and 8800

 

the N90 does look a bit daddy, but it's the same Symbian 6 O/S that my N70 is on, so I would be worried it will be as slow to open menu's and app's as my N70 is..... When I change phones again, I think I'll stick to the Nokia Series 40 O/S's that I used to have on the 6230.....

ive recently changed from nokia's due to all the ones ive had break/pack up within the year. i dont see them as robust as some others! mind u no phone is perfect!

ive now got a sony ericsson W800i and so far has given me no problems whatsoever, very easy to use phone with superb battery life and none of the techno techno all singing 'when am i gonna need that!' features

but hey... just my opinions as everyone is different

Ive got a Nokia 7610, Not a basic phone but its brill, You can use tomtom on it too. I hasnt got timed profiles though

I've got a 7110..... an old one ,I know,but it's been a good 'un. Only had to have it repaired once in about 4 years.....it needed a new slide.

Just seen a Nokia ad,on the telly..... for a 6111 and a 8280 (I think).

By the way..... can you get one of the new bluetooth type phones,without having to change contracts ?? Anyone ??

Ive got an N70 and its mint with a 512 memory card Top Phone cant see why people slag em had nokias from day one and this is a quality phone inmho Cheers Rob

 

the new nokias have swapped from rs-mmc cards to mini sd cards now

and yes, the N80 has a mini sd slot

 

I've got the 6230i.. come down a lot in price now
I managed to get mine on o2 for Ł119 by going into the link and sayin i had seen it cheaper on dial a phone or something. Apparently they dont even compare with them, but he gave it me anyway as long as i agreeed to paying Ł3.90 a month insurance, which i would of got anyway
All in all good phone, and easy to use for dumb fcuks like me!

I still got my 7110 aswell I needed three of em in a single year tho Fuckers kept fucking up... After the third one, I decided a change was due, and went for the 6310 which is still a cracking, simple, easy to use phone!
