Well, you can't deny we are the best team in Europe, think we proved that by winning the damn thing!
I can't personally see Chelsea winning the CL any time soon, there's too many team's that hate them and desperate to beat them to learn them a lesson and deflate their big head's.
P.S. It's 21 goal's, OG's still count mate.

C'mon, seriously.....
Now everyone with an ounce of footballing knowledge knows that you don't have to be the best team to win a knockout comp, but Liverpool did it.
However, most people easily ackonwledge they weren't the best team in Europe last year - do you really think they're a better team this year with that strike force?

True, I know what you're saying and I totally agree that we weren't the best in term's of our form, but our title makes us the best team in Europe until the next winner's step up, that's a fact.

PON, no, by my theory, we are the best in Europe until someone else officially takes the title, that's how it work's. As of yet no one has won the CL yet, so we're still the best. As for the best team, certainly we weren't the best going by form as I said, but you can't call it a fluke when you knock out team's like Juventus, Chelsea and AC Milan etc.
I stand corrected lampchop. Maths wasn't my strong point in school!
DogSmoke, stick to something you know about mate...which clearly isn't football. Going by your theory Chelsea should not loose a game all season, just because a team is the best doesn't mean they can't or shouldn't loose, the best doesn't always win as PON said.

the best team is the one currently playing the best football, or are recognised as generally 'above all others'
there are teams in La Liga who would play many premiership teams off the park, i.e. Barcelona
current best teams in the Premier are obviously Liverpool, Arsenal and Man U. Chelsea are failing to impress me and i haven't seen them play anywhere near the standards Arsenal set 2 seasons back.
We are currently European Champions, and as said til the end of the season we still are but i'm afraid we are only probably in the top five in Europe, but we're still improving all the time

I'd rather be beat by Man U and Arsenal, at least they play interesting and enjoyable football...
For the money that has been Spent at Chelsea, i'm sorry but no, they can't be classed in the same terms as Arsenal , when they won the Premiership or indeed Man U , as much as I hate man U, you cant take away the fact they played well... Chelsea are Boring and very very flukey.
Will we win the Semi's? or indeed the Cup who knows... All I will say, We are still Champions of Europe (5 times), for all the hype at the begining of the season it looks like Chelsea could end up with only the Premiership this season, and next season, Liverpool, Arsenal and Man U will be better and stronger teams.

liverpool were superb 3-1 win happy with that and thats without steve G, 18 goals in 4 matches lovley jubbley....... chelsea fans make me laugh though got pure hate for liverpool because of what we did to them last year in the CL, tough you should have beat us then!! we beat them because WE WERE CONSIDERABLY BETTER THEN YOU!!!!
