Default Unleaded fuel and the Fiesta Turbo

I was always of the opinion that it should always be run on Super Plus but I'v erecently been told as standard they are fine on the 95 RON stuff. I'm not convinced but wanted to hear other peoples opinions on this

Should be find on either, just more likely to get det on 95 than 97 and get a little less power as far as I know. I'm sure the FRST EFI management has a knock sensor so it would automatically compensate if you run a lower RON fuel.

Why the cost of premium getting to you steve

No Mac was on FT and somebody said they were fine on normal 95 stuff. The Escort only get's the finest Optimax and the Fiesta is on new zero emmision air pistons.

lol, well a FRST should be able to compensate. With your RS I would throttle you if you ever put anything else in it

FRST (std) can run 95RON UL - it did from the factory. I've always ran SUL or Optimax in my RS's though, the engine seems to prefer it (even when std).

Standard - wont harm it, although I would expect an enthusiastic owner to run it on SUL.

Chipped/raised boost - definately

My 1st FRST used to pink on UL. However it did put out 156Bhp on only 9psi which was excellent for a standard unchipped car.Perhaps it was telling me something
