Theres a lad on the Dc2 forum called Austriantype r with a 400whp teg weighing 950kg. Im sure he'll be up for a little fwd contest But you would have to travel to Austria i think If you beat him theres a lad running a street driven 870whp integra. Which is kind of fast

IMO its what we get out of the cars which is all that matters. Some people will always prefer forced induction, others n/a. Some people like a car to be fast all the time others like a car which can be driven economically then when your in the mood for it you can let it sing at 8900rpm

Might have a look at the teg again towards the end of summer.

Would be great to put a LET in it with a carlton gearbox and a calibra back axle, biggest issue would be the steering though, the honda steering arms are in the wrong place for a RWD rack

Right after totb3's post i have put it to the honda lads that the 9th of april will be available for 1/4 mile and top speed runs.

I am guessing that it will be elvington but i'm waiting for him to confirm this.

So if anyone is genuinly interested just pm me and i will sort out numbers but so far there are about 5 hondas willing to do this and i think i can get a few more to join in.

Remember focus rs's are wanted as i think that will be fair against the civic type-r's then any other fwd fords that fancy a day out in the name of crack

There are about 10 honda boys up for the event dc2 integras civic'c and dc5 integras but nothing on the ford front

Here are the details if anyone of here is interested as i think the honda boys might have a pop along anyway

its one of the rwyb 1/4m and top speed days at elvington. no need to pre pay, just turn up with helmet and Ł45 cash in total
unlimited runs against whoever you want.
sign on from 8am, racing 10am-4.30pm

noise limit 105db at 4000rpm, which is still very lenient noise regs!

TBH i think that in the curcumstances 1/4 mile and top speed a race between a standard frs and ctr would be nothing in it and would be purely down to driver skill.

There are a few of us going mainly dc2 integras but anyone is welcome to come and laught at our pathetic times

three door is getting started tomorow its going to be a big build this time iv just ordered some tarox 12 pots yes its the bloke from up near stoksley and he can realy drive to he always races bikes up and down the helmsley road . dont know about the cleveland lads mate as the fwd cars we have aint that quick apart from carls and grahams s1 but thats in bits at the mo cause your old engine is going in if you look in the rest section you will see the other projects iv been working on and one is the new works track car we are building so ill be on track alot this year

Lad lives about 20 miles away(not letting anything slip lol) hardly ever drives it and was his dads car before he got it.

He said he was sick of blowing up pintos so put a cossie motor in, its well speced with ap 4 pots and coilovers etc but nothing mental mental, just standard looking with diamond cut rs 4 spokes and cossie leather

i am thinking mini with a integra type-r motor think i could do it for 5k but its the front end that is a pain in the arse for me welding and all that bollox.

Either that or put 1 in a crx bit easier i recon as they both use the b series engine.
