Default bleeding brakes.....

i've just fitted a new abs part that goes onto the passager side inner wing on my escort cosworth...
i started to bleed the brakes the front 1's are fine but can't get any fluid through the back 1's. when i loosen the bleed nipple on the back calipers the brake peddle won't go 2 the floor and no fluid will come out.
any ideas????

if it's like the sierra, you have to have the ignition switched on to 2 to bleed the rear brakes, as they are pressurised by the pump

you shouldn't have to pump the pedal.ignition on,bleed nipple open, press the pedal down slightly and the pump will push the fluid through for you . hey presto, bled brakes.
