First go on ebay right. I've bid for something and winning the bidding, but the reserve hasnt been met. If the max figure I put in my bid box is higher than the reserve will it say??? or does someone else have to bid to push mine up further??

If your bid has not reached the reserve then you will not win, if you bid say Ł100 and reserve is Ł150, then you can not buy it, if another bidder comes in at Ł125 then they are highest bidder, but reserve still not meet.

 

Cheers. On "my ebay" though it says I've been outbid on 1 item though when I look at the item I am still the highest current bidder, though the reserve has not been met.

Bit confusin how it says I've been outbid when I aint.

 

If states " out bid ", check it also says " you are the highest bidder " then it will say " reserve not meet ", ebay is fine once you understand it, too start yes, its very confusing.

 

If you bid the reserve price or more it will automaticly show the reserve price has been met regardless of any other bidders!
