Looking at getting a ceramic coated inconel manifold and downpipe, I have cracked S/S ones know...

Whats everybodies opinions of PD?

Yeah it has a MASIVE crain type brace holding this one on. Its lasted 8 Months the longest so far

No. Im anti Heat Wrap. My Theory is: Its got to get out some where.

Ive tryed both now, wrapped, not wrapped.

its just funny you say about mounting i was talking to a guy on sunday and he said the ones he had seen werent supported very well and no wonder they crack

Heard nothing but good things abot these guys. Will be calling them when I need a manifold these do a few wrc teams and lots of other motorsport teams/companies.

Why don't you get Ian to get one done for you and coated? The coating on mine cost peanuts and wont come off.

Sorry mate, not sure where you got your info from but Ian didn't do PJ's manifold, he did it himself with a DIY kit, which is why it flaked off! Ian doesn't do it, a company does.

It's all in the preparation apparently as to whether it stays on or not. As mine's the orig ERST manifold it was blasted to provide a good key and the coating (done by an prof co. that IH uses) and costs the same, if not less, than wrapping. At the end of the day wrapping burns off soon enough so if it costs nearly the same I know which one I'd have as it lasts longer (if it did flake off eventually), is less hassle to fit and is MUCH cooler.

Mine's not live mapped as yet but it's ready (bar MOT and Tax)
