Default 7.5in cosworth diff - what oil to use HEEEEELLLLLLLLPPPPPP

hello again guys ...... my replacement diff will need some oil in it, i was under the impression that i just filled it up with some diff oil and away i go!

except someone has just said to me i need some special lsd diff oil due to opperating temps as he has known VERY VERY hot ones to set alight to the vc plates

please need some help is that Utter BULL!!!! or do i need some super special juice to put in there and where do i get it from

I use Mobil SHC 75w90, which is a fully synthetic

is there any truth in this using special LSD oil? or is this stuff yoiur all saying just run of the mill diff oil? whether it be synthetic or not?

Went to Ford for some for mine,came up with SAE90,think thats just a normal diff/gear oil

yeah i looked in my book and thats what i thought SAE90 .. thats what ford put in their .... Hypoidoll SAE90 all 1.3l of it

The SAE90 will do the job, however, filling with a full synthetic 75W/90 will give a better stability when hot.
