Default ERST long stroke

hi all,
my engine is off to my engine builder, now the crankshaft needs a regrind, but theyve offered me the option for a little bit more money to install a 1.8/1.9 crank. that in combination with steel rods and pistons.
the bore/stroke would become 80/89.5 compared to the standard size of 80/79.5. which seems a little bit off to me?
with a 1.8 crank the capacity will become 1821cc(0.5 overbore)
there will be more torque obviously, but what about power? would that increase by a fair amount?
whats the power and torque band like? long stroke engines dont like to get revved as high as the 1.6 therefore limiting breathing of the engine?
anyone have any experience with an ERST long stroke block/tall block ?
thanks alot

Power engineering used to offer a 1.8 conversion as well as a 1.9 conversion. It wasnt that popular as in std form it did used to make peak power early. With cams, headwork and turbo you can move the peak further up but as far as I'm aware the rule of thumb is roughly - short stroke = high rpm power, long stroke = torque. I'm sure someone else will add some more detail.
