Hi,

I want to get my s2 erst on the rollers to see what sort of power its pushing out. Anyone know any good rolling roads in Kent, preferably that give you a print out of your results as well. I have been to BD engineering in newington but the workshop is so small that the ACT figures rocket up !!!! anyone know anywhere else, not to bothered about distance but the closer to Herne Bay the better !

Agreed but racepower are ok they've set 3 of my cars up done a good job,cheap too, Keith & jim are top blokes.

yeah, I got my rover chipped at racepower, he's always well booked up though, anyone know anywhere else........that do print outs as well

dont go to kent performance in rainham ,had my car outside his own house for a week when he told me it was stripped down,he parked it on double yellows outside his workshop, i got a ticket and no one said anything till i had a letter through the post a month later saying it has gone up to 90 quid, then when i got my car home there was a massive scratch on the front bumper.All this happened just to get 4 exhaust valves put in my rs.He wouldnt give me no money for the ticket he said just leave it and they will forget about it and i didnt bother with the bumper cos i already drove it out of the workshop.
The thing that makes me laugh is he advertises in performance ford and everyone i know that has gone to him has had some sort of problem

Engine Advantages or take it to Power Engineering. There's one in sittingbourne, but they are mainly good with carbs.

I'm in Herne Bay as well, the nearest decent rolling road to here is Engine Advantages in Witham Essex, about 1 & a half hrs travel. Been their a couple of times & will go back there again. Don't bother with any of the RR in Kent.

dont get me started on kent performance,craig is a twat and i sued him in court for the crap work he done on my cossie and won,i have posted lots of times to warn people of him so people take note he is a twat,
ie,no gasket on themostat,broken manifold bolts,loose cam belt,sump plug not tightend,head refurb and put a cracked head on my cossie even though they were visible to the eye and said nothing,1 week later broke down and sued him for the work that was not done,he lies and tries to worm his way out of it,get him to pay for your ticket i used to live in rainham and he always leaves the cars on double yellows and they all get tickets and he takes the cars home and leaves them there for all to see and touch and nick i know i lived 4 houses from him

Glad i didnt get him to do anymore serious work on it. I got a refund on the ticket cos i sent the council a copy of the receipt of when he had my car.I didnt know how he had the audasity to keep lying to me, hes not the manliest looking bloke in the world, i was getting quite annoyed having to go down there 3 times to confront him about it

 

This bloke from kent performance sounds a dick, i have seen his ad in fast ford only to think i anit taking it there never heard of him. Go to who you know and recommend.

 

go to power engineering m8 you cant go wrong it may seem far from where you are but its worth the drive go to some one in kent and you will probably have some sort of problem when you leave. not slagging off kent as im from there but power engineering is ya best bet.

Yep agree with wizard. Whenever i have a problem with my s2 no matter what it is, i take it to power engineering. Never have had any problems with them and they always do a pucker job and always are willing to give you good advice rather then con you.

 

Iv'e got a black 3dr cos with standard wheels, you will know if youv'e seen it as its on a Q plate, doesn't hardly come out though. Normally out & about in a black M3 coupe ( which i sold yesterday to someone on thid board ) Now got a volvo 850R for the kids !!

Yep no where decent in Knet that I would trust to work on my Rs and have taken it to Southampton to we worked (well the S2 I had before)

And yes U have heard MANY horror stoiures about Kent Performance

I did go down station rd today yeah about 6.50 or 7.30pm. I didnt see ya though. What other mods you got then? The only s2 erst with a big i/c is carls old one but that has a GRS i/c i think. But to answer the question you first posted Engine advantages are good thats where i go.

good 2 see a nice chat about all the dodgy companys in kent. i've been to kent performance never going back! been to b&d he's not that bad but doesn't use fans i think and only gives out rough figures on bhp. i'm in canterbury nice to see some boys from the "bay" on here!!!

yeah I've had the erst a few months now, hopefully getting it all finished early next week and then getting a power run done , hoping for well over 200bhp, dont know how much though its never been power runned before !

You say you have a black cosworth, sierra or escort, I'm sure I've seen a couple around.

hi mate, what car you got ? I used to go to B&D all the time with my rover but it gets so hot in that little workshop that the ACT figures go through the roof He also shuts the doors etc so there's no airflow in there what so ever !

hi i've got a red escort turbo on 17" i know there's a few around. went 2 a show in rainham today. i was about the onlt rst there! think everyone was at the ford fair? my car got 191bhp on the mobile rr so i'm pretty pleased about that!

 

Yeah sold it to a mate, bit strange seeing someone slde driving it around.
