You must have cleared of some debt mate! to be paying the 'same';,
Is your new mtg payment the same as your old mtg payment or the same as what you were paying on your old mtg & debt
I arrange mortgages like this every day!

i was paying £472 a month on mortgage with halifax over 25 years on £65000
Been paying for 2 years
Just got qouted £475 a month on a £75000 over 20 years and i owe £64400
so apart from a few fees i shoud get £10k back and ive lost 3 years off
and he saved me £22 on my insurances aswell.
i keep thinking it to good to be true but i got it here in B&W

don't see the rush to pay it off early!!
money in pocket or other investment now I reckon.
if you'd of had the new mortgage deal but dropped your payments how much would you of lost out?
10k is a good saving at £500 a year estimate... but your payments only have to be £40 a month lower to give you that in your pocket now.
my mortgage is currently 24% of my topline wage...
in 20 odd years time with an average cost of living rise of 2.5% it will be down to 14% - im not going to be sweating about the cost of my mortgage then - where as I am more likely to be now?
just a thought!
