Default Orange airbag light??

Ive got the air bag light flashing on the dash. What does it mean & how can i fix it. Bag isnt going to blow up in my face is it??

depends on the amount of flashes....There is a sequence. My money is on seat belt pre-tensioner

My Escort used to do that. It will be the seatbelt pretensioners.

all its doing is flashin a fault code at ya!

when there is a fault in the system is puts the light up and disables the air bag system! so it wont go off in ya face

if its the escort in ya sig its prob flash up code 4 which is really common!

they suffer with high resistance in the seat belt pretensioner wiring loom under the front seats!

if it is code 4 disconnect the multiplugs and reconnect them about 3 or 4 times! they have gold terminals and this will clean them!

they are situated on the outside of the seat under the bit of trim next to the door shut!

I have my airbag light come on and stay on when its really cold, assuming this is part of the system that launching it that freezes??
