Default Cleaning uPVC window frames.....

Anyone got any good tips of getting double glazing window frames white again ?

Tried PVC cleaner, but its not very effective unless you scrub and scrub for ages

Steam from cooking seems to effect the nearby window frames

Dont know if the plastic is slightly pourous and its soaks in (dirt) or what. Apparently have a 10 year guarantee, but not sure if they would replace.
As it seems poor quality plastic

Try white spirit that might help but if not i would go back to the company you got the windows from, there was a main plastic supplier years ago that had a very bad product that went discoloured in the sun.

Our company have been arranging treatments for customers that have had this prob and if it hasnt been resolved within 2 treatments then the windows have been replaced.

Best bet is to go back to your orriginal supplier and find out what there policy on this is.

Hope this helps

white spirit and turps, will break down the polymers in pvc ,so constant use will rapidly degrade your windows,
the best and safest way ive come across (ooooh errrrr! ) has to be johnstones baby oil on a cloth ,wipe on wipe off, makes the window waterproof, and water beads on them ,pluss the grit and grime can be hosed off in the future with ease, pm me to tell me how you got on
