Default escort cosworth on coil overs QQQ

i have just fitted avo coil overs on the escort cosworth and the car bounces every where. who else has this problem as a m8 has this problem with his escort cosworth but he has gaz coil overs so that 2 whats going on. i have set mine to soft ish but still is it just coil over

What are the spring ratings that you have used????

lower the settings right down then go from there.

Ive set the rears to 3 notches on mine and seems fine unsure of the fronts as ive not had to adjust them but like Spadge sais spring ratings play a big factor in the equation too .

That set were for a 2wd Saff mate so probably the wrong springs for an Escos! The springs that come with AVO's are usually the wrong ones for the car they were made for so you have no chance lol

have you got the red rubber jonnys on them still if so thke the crap of as you must have it low and they are acting as a bump stop i had this on mine when i fitted avos sent them back they said nothing wrong with them you could try putting the hight up and see if i am right first but that was what it was on mine good luck

Rear spring rates should be 200lb max - ideal for road use is 170lb or 180lb - just my opinion from my past experiences.

i think the lb was more then 200 all round cossiedave yes the car is low and i have the red bump stops fitted

you are taliking of the bump stop right if so i will give it a try but the car realy dont have any up or down move ment so cant see it being the bump stops but will give it a go befor i buy new springs

you know what REALLY worries me though,,,,,,,,,,, you can build a rwd escos with 380mil brakes and just as mental a spec in 2 months YET !!!!
