We (Redline) was gonna set the world record over 6 months ago, but seemed bit pointless with 3 cars doing it like PF did (wouldve got the record with 1 car, as there wasnt a record before ), we wanted more like 30 cars to truly make it summat special, but Brunters shat themselfs over the noise that that many would make unfortunatley.
In fact we had 50+ cars all up for doing it (could prob double that with the RWD peeps on here!), I might have to crack on with location finding again tomorrow actually, its just mega hard to find a suitably huge space that dont mind the noise and dont want 1k+ to do it....

me and a few mates have done that loads of times , sorry but 3 cars donuting for 15 second is hardly guiness book of records stuff is it? is this for the April issue by any chance?>

Thrust 2 didnt start the land speed record though did it... every record starts somewhere and is made to be broken.
Oh yeah,, itsmeagain... 50 ha ha ha like to see that proved as you can only just see that 3 cars did the record for the smoke so even if you did get 50 doing it at the same time there is no way you can prove it cos you just wont be able to see it ha ha ha

And i never said 50, we was thinking of 30odd like i said, but already had 50odd wanting to.
On that note, think gonna spend today looking for a suitable location again, havent tried for bout 3 months...

Steve, If you think you can arrange even 20 cars to do it simultaneously for longer, and have it all verified with pics and video that the tyre smoke won't interfere with, and make sure they all don't crash into each other... I'll buy you a Krispy Kreme!
Apart from needing a location, enough capable cars and drivers, tyres that create no smoke or photographers with special anti-smoke, SUPERDUPER, wide-angle lenses, you've got it made!

Interesting record.
Seems a bit pointless though as its so easy in the right car, Our E30 will just sit there in perfect tight circles till the tyres pop if you want it to, doesnt move at all, takes no talent whatsoever in that car. (which is handy for me )
