Default question about amal valve

On my cossie, i had removed my airbox to put a big group a cone.

In the pass, i had removed the amal valve, and i had put a bleed valve.

After, i had check my boost preisure.

Few month pass, and after i had readen some technical advice on passionford, i decided to fit my amal valve again.

But after, the preisure increase dangerously (more than 2 bar), so, a friend tell me to put something in the amal connector (which go to athmosphere now because the airbox was removed) to reduce the size.

What do you think about that and you, what are you doing when you remove the airbox ???

The port that normally goes to the airbox is a vent to atmosphere and shouldn't be blocked

probably yes, first check the connections to the amal valve are correct

you will see thre markings on the amal valve:

W - this port is for the hose that comes from the actuator ( W for wastegate )
C - this port is for the hose from the turbo compressor housing ( C for compressor)
R - this port is for the hose that Returns to the airbox ( which will now be left since you have removed your airbox )

No, your friend is correct, the airbox pipe was calibrated.

If your boost is too high and all pipes etc are correctly fitted, restrict the pipe that goes to the airbox until your boost is back where it is required.
