Default Cossie T5 box Q?

Are there 2 types of T5's?
The reason i am asking is that it seems there are 2 types of speedo drives + speedo cables
All the t5's i have ever looked at until now had a speedo cable that just had an inner square cable and an outer bit shaped like a trumpet that is held in by a big circlip.
The one i have here has a big fook off hole in it where it looks like the speedo drive goes in as part of the cable???
Am i missing something here or what

The drive is held into the box via a small allen bolt. Is it that that's missin?

TVR T5's are blanked, they take their speedo off the prop/diff. Or atleast a chimaera T5 does
