GOLD MEMBERSHIP?????
IS IT WORTH £20 TO JOIN THIS SITE?????
SEEMS TO BE A BIT OF A ONE SIDED SITE.
BASICALLY IF YOU AINT A GOLD MEMBER YOU CAN'T ACCESS OR DO ANYTHING.
HOW CAN YOU FIND OUT IF IT'S ANY GOOD BEFORE JOINING.
JUST I HAVE FORKED OUT MEMBERSHIP FEES ON OTHER CLUB/ENTHUSIASTS SITES AND TURNED OUT TO BE RUBBISH.

ive got a r5 track car and needed some info on it off RTOC, it was twenty quid i think for there and if not a member just get to see general discussion, So pf is hell of a lot better for non paying members as it is,and 20 quid isnt exactlly breaking the bank

1: Yes, worth joining.
2: Yes you can access most of the site, just not start topics in some.
3: Don't think you can. Could perhaps ask for a week or something, then if you don't like it ask Stu/Pet for your money back (as long as you haven't posted stuff 'for sale') Will you be selling any bits/cars ??
BUT, it's not only for that side of things. Admittedly I sold my S2 off here, but apart from that, it helps pay toward the normal upkeep / running of the site. I'm sure Stu will enlighten you on how much the site costs to keep running at a good performance level without any glitches given the amount of users/ posts we have everyday.
And it's giving something back to the board. Believe me, if you have an RS, this site is priceless the knowledge you will gain, the help you will get and the money you will save in the long run by posting problems on here first for some top people to help, not rip you off
Think not what the board can do for you..but what you can do for the board.

As an ex gold member I do think it's a bit dear.
If I was breaking another car I'd rejoin in a second but I'd rejoin anyway if it was £10.
A bike forum I use is bigger than pf and costs £10 a year to become a supporter and you get.......
A few little benefits and a nice sticker.
They don't see the need to restrict all users from posting ads which could be of benefit to their members.
I enjoy using pf and would be happy to pay something I felt was fair towards it's up keep.
Reduce it to a tenner and I'll rejoin tomorrow!!
I wonder how many other expired or non gold members would do the same????

I'm not sure whether I'm expired tbh, just know I can't get into the contributors/mens rooms etc so I assume I've expired!

BASICALLY IF YOU AINT A GOLD MEMBER YOU CAN'T ACCESS OR DO ANYTHING.
Most sites cheaper than us have them god awfull google ads in teh middle of teh page, and we dont want to have to resort to that if we can help it.
The fact of the matter is PF, in the Main, is Free, all you need to be gold for is Adult content and to sell something. I dont see a problem with that personally?

I've noticed quite a few new posters recently (not that i'm not newas well, but i've been on here quite a bit recently ) have been posting just to try and cause a stir.
I apologise if that isn't the case, but as there's only a couple of things you cant get without gold access on passionford I don't know what the hell you're moaning about

Thanks 89XR2, that's because I imagine some peeps just would like the webmaster (ie me) to pay the huge costs involved in buying the hardware and lines, running, coding and maintaining such a BIG website out of their own pocket, just to please everyone... i imagine they would do this themselves, if it was their website

Passionford.com = Best site I have ever joined, I may not post alot, but when I do, I get fast and quality answers to get my car running again!
(P.s the number of posts, is not the same as my brake downs in my Ecos! ) Well worth £20.

Oh forgot to add. I think 20 quid is well worth paying to passionford even if i dont want to sell owt or look in the mens room. As soon as i have 20 notes spare. Yes i am that poor I'll be paying my way. I know how much a site like this costs to run.
Got nothing but respect for Petrucci and Stu.

Well worth the money
i spend alot of time on this site I enjoy myself have made loads of new freinds and learnt a great deal from reading some of the quality posts
Pet runs this site from his business so he HIMSELF foots a large amount of the costs envolved out of his own pocket and for this alone i say thank you pet is very appreciated
so pay your £20 and enjoy the xtra benefits aswell as knowing your helping to keep this site running and staying the best forum on the internet

Mate, a club is what YOU make of it..... I strongly suggest that if you've paid membership fees to other clubs/socieities in the past then you haven't put enough in yourself to get any reward out of being a member and joining in the first place....
