PassionFord Post Whore!!
Take the old MOT and the new MOT down there and ask them to note both.
It would be a complete waste of time to drag you up in front of a magistrate for an oversight like that.
Even if it did come to that I would expect the magistrate to throw it out in disgust.
Worst case scenario you'll get a fine tho, no points.

This happened to my wife last year.
She got stopped for an incorrectly spaced number plate.
Then realised that her MOT was out of date (obviously my fault). We got the car MOT'd and then went to the police station where they read her her rights again for not having an upto date MOT certificate, but noted that it was an oversite and that the car was now MOt'd. We were told to wait for note of prosecution/fine. Waited over 6 months now and have heard nothing. I don't think now we ever will.
Cue it dropping through the door any time soon.

the women in the desk at the cop shop told me that it is taking them upto 2 months yes 2 months just to process the form and the fact that we had no MOT let alone getting around to doing the summons
Small violantions like this should be kept in house at the cop shops, why waste the courts time? the courts only need to be bothered with the scum lik epeople who dont ever MOT their cars!
