Default Exspansion Tanks Cleaning HOW?

hiya im currently in the middle of putting my car back together i got a nice shiny new engine the engine bay is all cleaned and polished theres just one thing letting it down and thats the exspansion tank!!

Does anybody know how to get rid all the dirt and grime?

Would be super greatfull to anyone that can help

If it`s a plastic one stick it in a bucket of strong,hot bleach solution for 20 mins and give it a good rinse....

Yes, fill it a quarter full with loose pebbles from a garden centre etc, put the lid on, shake it well, rinse etc, it gets a lot off but not perfect.

I've heard that soaking them overnight in Steradent (the stuff for cleaning false teeth) works, but never tried it.

I did that with some fish tank gravel - came out

Then I bought a new one anyway as the old one was craking
