Default Ferrari Enzo crash this morning on PCH

http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la...home-headlines

Cops say he was doing close to 200mph!!!!!

Love the bit on the news when the newsman says 'I think they have a 16v V8 in them' nice!

"Let me just say it was going over 100 miles per hour and maybe double that,"

and both of them survived, the driver able to run away

I love the way the driver legged it - they all do that over here as any kind of incident like that is instant bankrupcy.

That begs the question. what exactly do you crash into in the desert? Surely it must have been a flat desert with no sand dunes etc for testing purposes?

You dont have to hit something, the idea is the engine separates to take the rotational energy from the car leaving the tub behind

Cool Thanks mate. Would make sense he was a serious petrol head to race it on the road. Wonder what the SLR driver does/owns for living.

Has anyone else seen this video report from CBS?

http://cbs2.com/topstories/local_story_052110615.html

On the right hand side!

A German guy named Dietrich ran to the hills leaving the owner (who was the passenger) with the car after the accident - yeah right!

Turns out that the Enzo has a data logger in it so the reports of it racing an SLR at up to 200 are about to be either made true or debunked.
Also a Scottish bank are claiming that they reposessed the car and it isnt the property of the Swedish gaming guy even though it looks like he was driving it.
