... home from Brunters (ROTFLMAO)
Huge thanks to Mike, Harvey & Anne and Ahmed. Spent the afternoon at Brunters finalising the map, so now running full boost - so glad I had the opportunity to test the performance off road
Unfortunately I now have to shelve my lovingly refurb'd rims for some bigger items
Over the moon with my car, Harvey and Ahmed SOOOOOO overdelivered on their brief
I think Mike was quietly impressed too, and given his experience of decently powered cars, comes as quite a compliment.
p.s. Mike, did Anne tell you I paid her for your track day experience ??

Phil, I reckon it was quicker than my old stage three with just 20 psi
I'll do a datalog when I remember. Can't tell you 100% without going and cheking, but pretty low down
Off at a tangent, got to get some HiD's too, Mike's look really good (and the extra lighting is a bonus )
I try to get to the next one Dunc, be good to catch up with you guys, it's been a while .

Suggestions: Stick with 8x17s (TH3s - see my website) and fit 355x32 6-pots. You must keep a similar rolling radius (225/35s) to keep that acceleration .
6° rear beam so the front doesn't push on and Koni's / Ahmed's springs.
Done job.
Also you fitting 100kg of lead ballest would suit me down to the ground .

2nd gear with 16" wheels is mental . I don't think I would want to keep them like that though, as the car was woefully underbraked and handled like a "ditch-finder" with the amount of "push-on it" has .
It's nothing like the Sapphire though, as that would pull another 20mph at the midway point compared to Bill's 150 (mind you that was from a baby start in the wet ).

Oh, and the phrase "Mike's got a few ponies loose on the top paddock" springs to mind

Phil you fooker, I opened this up at work
Whitney - I hope not, the car is still very happy and well behaved pootling along at 30/40, I'll just have to keep the window open a touch to stop the red mist building up..... I enjoy the acceleration more than top speeds, so even with some restraint until other things are done I'll still get enough enjoyment from the old duck. Mike's even got me considering track days
Stu, thanks - was good to do a bit of socialising Just need to do a few more things (as I knew I would) and I'll have my ideal of an EsCos realised, although I admit I did keep looking at Mike's siamesed 8 injectors and wondering......
EDIT: just realised Whitney must've meant Phil
