Sarah i think you need to back up a few steps look at my previous cars
1st ax gt
2nd series1 turbo (that turned into a resto then broken lol)
3rd a crx vtec(bought at a bargain to runabout in and make money on)
4th my 350bhp 2wd saph (lovely reliable car but prone to missfires and all the other issues that come with running a 17yo car as a daily driver)
5th frst(bought as a winter runner while i owned the cossie and make some money on)
6th Nova 16v(lovely fast car wide arched that got bought cheap killed and sold on)
7th Integra type-r(as standard faster than a STANDARD cossie thats a 1.8na quicker than a 2.0 turbo motor)
So thats 1 shitron lo,l 1 poxhall, 2 hondas, 3 fords i think i am coming from an unbiassed view as the rs marque will allways be where my true interest with cars is at. Unfortunatly there getting a bit long in the tooth and as a daily runner the teg is perfect, fast, reliable 170 miles to £25 of optimax, tunable and basically a perfect allrounder
As stated FORD engines are poo fact, i will expand on that now the cosworth engine is exactly what it says on the tin a ford based cosworth developed engine.
Take like for like
1990 b16a(1.6 found in crx vtecs) the engine in mine had 150k on it and had been nailed for 7 years previouse as i now know the previous owner it made 158bhp with totally standard motor with a dc sports exhaust decat and k&n filter. That car is not a 1 off and they produced 154bhp standard.
Fords xr2i from 1990(1.6 cvh 100bhp if your lucky nuff said)
Light harted humour and i am on the look out for a cheap rs ie a rs1800 or similar so i can keep my foot in the door tbh so dont hate the jap crap cause there far superior hate them cause they dont break down

All my comments are made as light harted humour and to wind people up really its just me i suppose. Some people like righthooker get my humour and have a laught back, others like Sarah dont get my humour and do bite.

I know it aint the quickest car in the world, people forget that i have owned a 350bhp cossie and must realise that it must have something going for it if it keeps me entertained after owning me saph.
Patto bud whats your car had done to it????????, if you want we can go for it on the parkway just for the crack and i bet you will be suprised at how quick it is as a standard non turbo motor with no mods

If i can get a std ignition amp heat sink i can fit the lot tomorrow (ECU and coil pack etc), then need to see Stu or Neil @ carwise for a live map.

The plan is run the standard bottom end and cams to the limit till it blows up then whilst all this is going on a little garden shed project engine will be DIY`ed to replace it ,
Then i will tackle the teg in reverse

I love Fords and will always have them but being in the car trade they dont come top of the list for build quality, im afraid Jap stuff is higher on the list!!!!! But performance Jap stuff drops in value where most rs stays level or rises.

like i said fella my gaffers is a DC2 187 standard car, my turbo has a cone filter and exhaust runs 10psi 156bhp off our slip road he was in front i went past him easy enough but he was catching me by the time i was off the clock, ive raced him on the northallerton twistys and he was away like fook ( my suspension is wank ) in my oppinon the teg is a better all round car as anyone can point a car in a straight line and nail it. my cars out all year round no matter the weather so if i see you floating about well deffo have a play
PS. i have no doubt you would do me but through the gears i showed my gaffer my boot and back bumber but its all about the crack...

like i said mate his is standard, as for not driving like i said youd have to be a proper numpty to not be able to point it in a straight line and gun it. i dont think for one second id have you no bother just through the gears i would say..

ive drove his car and it is lovely not jap crap in anyway the handling is fantastic and like you say its a newer car and build quality is 100% over my bean tin but each to there own im sure we will meet at some point mate as your prone to driving about lokking for things to play with like that night on the A19 at 12 at night.lol
