Default 4x4 front driveshaft ns, will it fit the os???????????

does anybody know if a 4x4 cossy front drive shaft NS will fit the OS cheers for any help on this one

dont think so mate one is longer than the other so no go on that one sorry

never had a problem myself - always found that they fit either way

i know on the escos they will fit. the only difference in lenght is about 5mm and the near side shaft doesn't have the circlip holding it into the front diff.

that sounds right but you need that circlip in as well. my driveshalft is an extra 10 mm longer

WAS TOLD BY GRAHAM GOODE THAT THEY WILL FIT AND THAT IT IS BETTER TO USE THE LONGER ONE IN THE OS ANYWAY AS IT WILL CURE THE SHAFT POPPING OUT LIKE IT DID IN THE FIRST PLACE

try and source one from a late xr 4x4 as they use longer shafts than were fitted standard on Cossie's

by late i think you mean any 1990 onwards model - 2.9 or 2.0

REASON FOR ASKING IS THAT I BOUGHT A NS SHAFT ,THE GUY TOLD ME IT WAS OUT OF THE OS OF THE CAR WHICH I THINK IS CORRECT ON HIS BEHALF CAUSE HE HAD BOTH SIDES WHEN I ASKED SO THE CAR MUST AV BEEN RUNNING WITH THIS SHAFT ON THE OS
