It could be if your power lead for your amp and phono leads are 2 close together when they are running down the side of the car, make sure they run on different sides

as said above

faye take the trim out and run the power leads on the drivers side, the speak wires if any on the passenger side and the phono leads through the middle of the car,,,,,,,,,, the power rood lead will need re-routing too aswell to go down the drivers side when ya there too

All my speakers run of my amp!

There is no way the phono leads would fit down the same side as the power lead anyway im sure. But i will take a look today see whats going on in there lol

I hate wires

Had a similar problem years ago, power and signal lines were separated, surpressors on ign coil and alternator, and the whine persisted. The only difference between the wiring between the current and previous systems was a surpession coil in the main power lead to the head unit, no worries after i fitted one.

Ground loop isolators might help. Just make sure that any earth wires are no more than about a foot long and blot then down to metal, not just paint. If the RCA cables arnt the insulated type then they could be picking up sound from the fuel pump.

Good luck
