is the rouse not a different flange as std? My personal opinion is that GT turbos should retain there original housing/flange, and the manifold changed to suit.

Absolutely NO WAY should anyone EVER buy one of these Turbo's!!! They have an absolutely disastrous reputation.

Does no-one remember the Turbo that was shown on the 'net, where the Compressor Cover literally came apart? It was bonded together with some kind of Epoxy adhesive.

Pay cheap money, get cheap shit. I didn't pay over Ł1k for my Turbo because I just faniced being a little frivalous.

Hi DOO,

I’m running a Genuine Garrett GT28/40 on my engine/2wd Saff. I have had a custom made Exh manifold to suit as well as other mods to my engine. On 205/40/17 BFGoodrich street tires it ran an 11.8 @ 124mph 1/4 mile on an honest 25psi boost and pump fuel. See here for more pics and vids………

Slightly off topic, Why is a GT28RS called a 'disco potato' ??

Because the car that they first tested the turbo on (new shape Nissan Sentra with an SR20 in it IIRC) looked a bit like a potato (only very slightly, like a sierra looks like a jelly mould), and it was done in a crazy brown/purple/allsorts flip paint, hence the disco bit...
