i.e. hammering the brakes then keeping your foot on the brake whilst sitting at traffic lights at the bottom of a ahill for example.

You bought the wrong disks. Buy uprated disks instead of std ford ones

Seriously i wouldnt use the Green pads. I have used Green pads in the past and had to send 2 sets of discs back to EBC because the green pads caused hardened spots on the surface of the disc and made it feel like they were warped In the end it started to happen to the 3rd set of discs and I knew what was happening so I changed the pads to Mintex 1144's before it damaged the surface f the discs and didnt have a problem after that. I have a spare set of EBC greens in the shed and ALL i use them for is collecting dust in there

Just a thought, were you using EBC greens on your standard Ford Discs ?

IMO get a set of Mintex 1144's or Ferodo DS2000's pads for you new black diamond discs and you wont have a problem

Red dot
Had them on several cars over the years with 1144 pads and never had a problem, even had the same set on the S1 for over 7yrs and there still fine even after being on track.

The fiesta has them on now, done a 3 track days with the discs, first one using 1155's and they faded a bit and the pads cracked, swapped over to 1166's and they are fantastic on track, just not too kind on the discs

PMSL im not supprised then

BTW i found that using Mintex 1144's HARD on track causes them to crack right down the centre of the pad, is that what you found with your 1155's ?

The 1144's were perfect on the road and excellent for everyday use tho, but i have just changed over to Ferodo DS2500's for road and track use, will find out next weekend how they are round Bedford

Yep that where the 1155's cracked, not too bad but dont want to risk putting them in for bedford.

Just hope i dont have to emergency brake on the M1 going to bedford with the 1166's in
