My dog Bill has just died.
He was my English Bull Terrier Bill , died in my arms. Made 13 years and 7 months. God it hurts, loved him so much, best friend I've ever had.

Its heartbreaking losing a pet especially one you have had for so long.

Wow dude, sorry to hear about that, they become more then pet's they become family and if he was yours more like a son. I know I had a dog 8 years was hit by a car, I buried him, but it was hard to let him go after I had him in my arms for so long. It took a long time to get over but now I'm ready for another one. You will be too, not right now or next couple of days but you'll know when.

Really genuinely sorry for your loss pal.
Spent last night feeling down cos the house was so empty without our staffie as shes in the vets having an operation. Sometimes i wonder if its worth having a pet, knowing that one day its inevitable that i will have to go through what your going through now.
Sorry pal.

its been a couple of years since Arnold, my Staff was put to sleep. I was broken hearted too fella... i cried like a baby! I understand your hurt and how you cant see yourself ever getting another, i went through it myself. 2 years later though, i look back on my days with Arnold and treasure the memories! I still have his pictures everywhere, and he will always be remembered, but i feel now that i could and will have another. He wont replace Arnold, he'll just be a new addition!

Some people don't understand how badly it affects us, they can't understand how we can be so upset over a pet. But i was devestated and it still hurts like hell to this day. I have lost relatives that didn't affect me as badly as loosing my horse did.
I know exactly how you feel and my thoughts are with you

Sorry for your loss mate.....my rat died on my chest new years eve peacfully....one of the nicest rats ive ever had...i still miss playing with him. i know most will think "rat" but you get attached to your pets and treat them like family so its always hard when you lose one.......ive left my dog, who i rescued 2 years ago and shes 10 now, with friends while ive been decorating etc and come back to an empty house and its weird not having her there and jumping up to greet me. im dreading the day she goes, although im hoping that ive got a few more years with her yet, she's more like a 3yr old.
You have my sympathy and i hope that time is a good healer for you.
