Just trying to put my cd player into my S1 and unit is getting power as it chucks cd back at you when you plug it in but is not powering up?

I only need an earth, permanent live nd ignition feed for (kenwood) head unit and i have from the car, earth (brown) permanent live (yellow) but couldnt find ignition feed so just using power feed to cigarette lighter but still no power - any ideas?

there should be a red wire in your car stereo loom somewhere
thats your perm live

vroooom ptssssh

red perm live
brown earth
yellow ignition switched live.

if you've not got one, run a perm live from the battery (fused)
