Started up first time and sounds sweet..........very fookin loud with the side exit but engine is sweet.

Just a few more things to finish and it'll be ready for the MOT

It even drives in first gear. Haven't tested the others, got no brake fulid

Better get that noise level down tho Adam, I was 1.4 dB over at Castle Combe the other week and they wouldn't let me run

Was a car there with a side exit and he was 110dB in the morning, limit was 100

I was helping my mate rebuild the engine in his XR2 Turbo and it's a good feeling when you start it for the first time after having it all stripped down to basically a shell

You must be well happy

 

Ps - you dont put brake fluid in the gearbox

Side exit is only for Sat at Nat day and then i'll bolt the std mongoose back on for sunday

Oh, and it appears to have sprung a little leak......for the oil temp sensor in the sump.......time for some sealent !

I thought the noise regs were the other way round mate. Limit on sat but not on sun.

 

Oh..........oh well, doesn't matter, i'll have both with me

aint read rest of post but how loud is it!? remeber them sound regs for track use m8! I had a side exit for the esate i had & i always thoguht that was never gunna pass regs!

 

Its FOOKIN loud......louder at idle than my car at full chat with the goose on i reckon.

Its only for track days with NO noise reg, like Nat Day
