Changing a reg plate for a private one

anyone know if this can be done at local dvla office or do i have to send the v5 mot and tax disc off to have it changed.

Get the car mot this weekend be nice to have my new plate put on asap
been on retention for 2 years.

You used to be able to get it done over the counter at some DVLA offices....but not anymore.

Have to send them off or take them to an office and they will send them off for you.

Just done mine and it only took a week
