Default 700 BHP Supra - How would this be achieved?

A guy I met at the weekend has a mental Supra. It does look and sound like it's packing a punch but when I asked him what power he was running he said "around 700 brake"!

Firstly is this possible?

And secondly what would be required to achieve this kind of power?

yeah its easily possible but it costs is if the the twin turbo a upgrade to two garrets and there runnin bout 400 bhp

cam work chippin ecu basicly everythin hks

would cost a fortune i remember the 2000bhp one a few years back but that was twin engine u cna get a single twin turbo supra to around 1300 brake max

costs for a 700bhp one wud run around 60k's worth of mods

600hp is easily achieved and requires turbo, fuelling and cams basically. the short motors are very strong in standard form.

Got to love informative internet chat

Under 10k easily.

Standard internals if you wanted to push it as they can do that and more, maybe cams, so well under 10k in that case.

Single turbo conversions start from around 3.5k for the budget
type to 5k+ for the naughty HKS ones with external wastegates like the
HKS T04R or HKS T51R.

Front mount intercooler for about another grand

Decent management, bigger injectors, cams etc

And you wont need massive amonts of boost either which is a bonus!!

You wont really need to touch the bottom end as they were over
engineered

I love these cars would love to own one.

We had a 600bhp+ Supra on the last years Eurothrash, it's in one of the jap mags this month. Sounded the nuts when Nick floored it

Not a fan of the auto box though, says in the feature that he'll get a 6 speed sequential box if he keeps it though

HKS - Hong Kong Shite...

Very overated from personal experience...

Don't get me wrong - 9 times out of 10 it does what it says on the box - but so do other things at half the price...

Single turbo conversion, management, cams and injectors and i see no reason why not

Thanks for all the replies guys.

It seems feasible then that this car does indeed have over 600 brake.
