the smell is more than likely to be comeing out of you exshust ie turbo piston rings or head i bet the smell is only when you boot it and come off the gas or stop at traffic lights or it could be the cossy smell witch is normall

ive heard that a lot of cossies make this smell...dont think its wear as the turbo is minty fresh and the engine does not burn oil and does not blow any out the exhaust.

thought this was a normal smell, due to the breather, breathing into the atmosphire rather than on a standard cossy breathing into the airbox & being re circulated back into the engine. every cossy with a non factory breather system i've been in smells like this.

thats a true point, the bottom breather hose on my saph was about 3ins long and actualy fed the air into the heaters,,,,,, was like a suicide car home made

i remeber post this a while ago and checking and the routed it under the car on a clip and that sorted that problem

you got a inner wing breather though aint ya or do they still have a breather pot on the bulk head with a air pipe, if so thats the problem to check too

As above, the smell is crankcase fumes as it breathes to atmo. As std, it breathes to the inlet so u cant smell it. Route the pipe under the car and u'll be fine.
